AA District 8
Correctional Facilities Committee (CFC)

Welcome former inmates into our AA community

Volunteers are needed!

  • Your District 8 Correctional Facilities Committee has begun a Correctional Facility Pre-Release program in our AA community. This is a wonderful way for you to participate in extending the "Hand of AA" in and for your meeting group.
  • Men and women volunteers for pre-release contact are needed. You can help your meeting group receive inmates, offer them your fellowship and introduce them to other AA's.
  • We want to have the hand of AA there for everyone, particularly for those newly released. We wish to have a contact person available to help them in obtaining literature and getting to a meeting on their first day home.
  • One of the most difficult experiences for inmates is being released from custody and then making a transition from an alcohol and drug free environment to being out there on their own.
  • For more information, please contact our Correctional Committee's pre-release contact, Bob A. using the information below and be sure to leave your name and return phone number or email address and he will reply to you quickly.
